Regarding Smart-Scan, same as reported in a prior beta.
-> https://forum.avast.com/index.php?msg=1429560
I can report for Smart Scan, missing compatibility issues, missing sensitive data, so one more than Asyn has.

Also still missing an avast browser.  I tried to run an older version of AIS only to have SafeZone browser automatically removed upon updating the virus definitions.  So no Bank Mode is available, still.  New avast browser is on the way, but deployment of the new avast browser should've been coordinated with retirement of SafeZone, and not the gap in protection we've seen over the past month and a half or more should not have happened.

On my Win 7 64bit is all ok, but i didn't notice any major changes from previous version. It's probably only bug fixing release. And please, we need options for scanning files inside virus chest.

I am using Windows 10 (in the Netherlands), with Free AntiVirus
I updated yesterday evening.
After restart I used the icon in the taskbar. It was impossible to use any of the items in it.
I used the program icon on the destop.
The user interface window showed up, but I wasn't able to do a quick scan.
No reaction on clicking. I couldn't close the windows.
I used TaskManagement to close it.
Because I was not sure wether my system was protected or not I de-installed Avast Antivirus.
And I did a complete new installation, with the same effects mentioned above.
So I removed Avast Antivirus again. And I trust for the time being Windows Defender.
I appreciate any help, any advice.

ScreenConnect ConnectWise stopped working when Avast GUI is active on desktop Version: 17.8.2318. Windows 10 Home (10.0.15063)  and connectwise Client Version:6.3.13446.6374.  You lose Mouse and Keyboard control.  As soon as avast GUI is closed, all is normal.  Very consistent.  Not sure why this is happening or of a good work around yet.

For what it is worth, latest Avast Free Antivirus 17.8.3218 (build 17.8.3705.0) blocks mouse and keyboard input using Team Viewer and other remote access programs on a remote Vista PC when you open the Avast Free Antivirus program on the remote PC (to try and disable Avast shields to install other programs, for instance).  Sending "Ctrl-Alt-Del" and running Task Manager gets me out.  Tried it on a couple of Vista PC's.

Work-around I found so far is to disable Self Defense Module while at the Vista PC (not a good option and cannot be done remotely).

Good work!  That does get me around it too.  I've seen this with both free and Premier versions.   I'm hoping that they will give a work around for it.

The new version has an error. If you are viewing a computer via VNC (tightVNC or RealVNC) and you click on anything that activates Avast you totally loss control - no mouse or ability to click. If you switch to a local mouse you can view in OK in VNC. I maintain several computers in my home from one location and this makes it very troublesome because I have to physically move to each computer just to check status. :(

I may roll back until the next version, but for obvious reason I would prefer not.

Confirmed with my Windows 7 little Desktop, Teamviewer into it via Android Phone app,  open Avast,  and Mouse control don't, can't click anything, no response at all clicking any button, even Windows Buttons

Gonna check with Windows 10 Remote Desktop as well in a moment from my Windows 10 Pro Desktop to my Other Windows 10 Pro Desktop--No  problem experienced there, seems to only affect other remote programs, Teamviewer with Windows 7, Vista and XP machines

Turns out SafeZone is marked as installed in myavast.com but is disabled.  Problem is, not an option anywhere to enable as it is not listed in the Change menu or [else]where.

Every 10 minutes or so it stops protecting. i get the message,  "Ul failed to load.  This is really embarrassing.  AV service is not responding."  With the option to exit or restart service.  When I click restart service it shows it's protecting for 10 minutes or so and stops again without warning or notice.  I did clean install and  also restarted several times.  Not acceptable after paying $60 a month ago.  Windows 10
