Cannot load HAND cursor
« on: May 10, 2006, 02:00:49 PM »
Avast! Antivirus v4.6 Server Edition - Build Feb2006 (4.6.566)
VPS file version 0619-0, compilation date 2006-05-08

The program still in demo mode, I need to do further test before buying it.

The problem is :

Every time I launch the Avast! interface a new error message appear into the event log :

"ASWSIMPLE Application error. Error details: CaswSimpleDlg::OnInitDialog() - Program cannot load HAND cursor from:
C:\Documents and ettings\Administrateur\WINDOWS\winhlp32.exe."

The operating system is :
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition French Edition Service pack 1
Terminal service is installed and used on this machine

I wonder if this is affecting the Avast! operation ?

If yes, could you give me any hint how to solve this problem.

Thank's

No, it shouldn't affect avast! functionality in any way.

I wonder, however, the logged path really points to C:\Documents and Settings? Were you logged "locally" on the computer, or through the terminal services when you started avast! (that caused this log entry)?

Hi igor,

Thank's for the reply...

I have triyed both, directly from the server and from terminal session, and the message is generated in either condition.

I have checked into all LOG files, available for Avast!'s DATA folder but I could not find anything obvious.

Do you need something else for your investigation ?

I could probably event arrange you a terminal / VNC connexion to the server.

Not really; I improved the code somehow so the message shouldn't appear anymore.
