Whenever the computer is put into SLEEP by the user through a Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) session it can not be WAKE UP via a WAKE ON LAN (WOL) packet while Avast is running.

When the computer is put into SLEEP in a session locally, the problem does not occur. In both cases the computer can be WAKE UP through the keyboard.

If Avast is stopped, the problem does not occur. No Firewall or Network module is enabled, just the antivirus module.

Does anyone know of any configuration to fix this or is it a bug?

Windows 10 v1709, with the most updated version to date.

The problem was reported in Windows Feedback Hub https://aka.ms/Noacpt (Brazilian portuguese). But later it was identified to be directly related to Avast.

Well, my tests were wrong, some coincidence allowed the computer to wake up when I turned off the antivirus. Today I could not reproduce the same behavior, even uninstalling Avast completely.

Thank you very much for your attention, I will continue to try to find a solution to my problem with Microsoft.

Perhaps your problem may be due to this:-
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04947950

I had half my Windows 10 systems fail to respond to Wake On Lan, a few were initially made to function by back leveling the network drivers. But the above info when applied to non HP systems worked perfectly..
