Avast antitheft false security alarms
« on: November 08, 2017, 09:49:18 AM »
Just wondering if I can get some help getting back into my phone. I was sitting at my desk at work, listening to a podcast when all of a sudden the Avast antitheft alarms starting going off. I am cannot remember my PIN, as it has been ages since I installed this on my phone, but even if I could, whenever I input a PIN I just get a constantly spinning "loading" wheel, as if it is trying to do something, but it just keeps going. When I log into my Avast account on a PC and try to reset my PIN, it does not work, and when I try to send the unlock or phone found notifications from my online Avast account, it says "unable to communicate with your device". I do not have any notifications on the Avast account to indicate why my phone might have all of a sudden been flagged as lost, in fact on the Avast account there does not seem to be any indication that anything is wrong.

Please help, I'd like to be able to use my phone, you know, given that it isn't actually lost or stolen.
