Avast Unloaded?
« on: May 12, 2006, 10:12:16 PM »
Hi friends I got a simple doubt, just when I turn-on my computer I see all my systray programs launching normally, (volume control, firewall) but when I see the A icon of Avast Antivirus I see it with a small circle or like a red cross, which means its not activated, after a period of 40 sec, 1 min it goes activated and says 4 of 6 modules are running (the ones I personally chose)

My question is, is this normal? I repeat after a period of a min when my PC is totally "loaded" the Avast starts running.

An extra ques, how can I program a boot time scan? like when I start-up PC the first thing ever that happens is a scan before Windows starts loading totally, like we can do with Norton or so.

Thanks greetings!
Jason.

Although here nothing is 'normal' as depends on your particular system, the icon is a 'state' warning and not reveals just-in-time the state of the computer. First avast! loads its services and protect the computer... after, the icon is enabled, the state updated, etc.

Are you using Windows XP?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.

Try to defragment  the disk volume so that  the programs can launch faster.in my computer avast security providers start instantly because the  disk volume is always perfectly defragmented.
