Avast seems to be interfering with me using Control Panel to uninstall programs.
When I try, I get a popup telling me that it needs to do a "quick 15 second scan" only that "quick" scan just goes on forever. Abort doesn't work. Clicking the close "X" icon closes the window, but apparently the scan continues to go on in the background and the only thing that gets rid of it is to do a reboot.
In order to uninstall the program I have to seek out the uninstall exe in the program folder.
This has happened to me several times.
Is this a bug? Is anyone addressing the issue?
