Cannot reactivate Avast Free Antivirus license
« on: November 24, 2017, 03:15:08 PM »
Hi,

My Avast Free Antivirus license expired and when I try to reactivate it nothing happens.I also try to folLow the steps in this article https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/204/ but errors appear refering to the update and once again nothing seems to change. What's the problem? And how can i solve it? Should I reinstall Avast and is it safe to do it via control panel(Windows 10)?
If you can't understand what's the problem and you need more information, please let me know and I will provide you the information you need.

P.S. This is the first time I write a post in forum, so excuse me for being bad at this.

First of all thank you for responding... I have installed Avast Antivirus and I try to reactivate it.If I am not mistaken, the first link and the video are about downloading/reinstalling Avast. Is it possible to fix it without reinstallation? If not, do I have to uninstall Avast and then install it again? Is it safe to uninstall it via control panel or should I use a utility?

You can try the following: Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:
