MBR question
« on: November 27, 2017, 09:21:43 PM »
Hello,

This question may have been asked before, but I can't seem to find any recent answer about it. And I don't exactly know if this is the right forum to post this in.

When you scan with avast, will it also scan the MBR ; boot-sector and/or GPT?

Unless something has changed avast does a rootkit scan 8 min after startup

So a full scan or boot scan will also scan for root kits and viruses in the boot sector?

If you use the default settings, yes.
