Cannot activate or renew Avasft Free

Hi everyone. Today after updating my Nvidia video drivers I experienced an odd malfunction. After system restart Avast panel warns me that my license is expired. I tried to renew, I tried repair with no result. Then I tried to disinstall and reinstall and now Avast tell me that I have a license for 30 days (actually 29 XD ) and if I try to register a message "can't add the dispositive to your account" (or something similar)

I'm desperate, anybody can help?

Good to know, but why on a sudden Avast keeps telling me that license is expired even uninstalling and reinstalling?

As I said I tried uninstalling and reinstalled the latest versione from the site. Now under subscriptions it says:

Avast Free Antivirus
Subscription status: Active
Valid till 12/31/2017 (29 days remaining)

I will try to wait and see if Avast renew in automatic and then eventually try the clean installations as said by bob.
Still I think there is something broken with the last update. I noticed other, like wmed05, have the same exact problem that I have.

An update on this 1-month-old topic...now Avast says that my free license is expired. Protections are still active and I can even update the visrus definitions.
Still not only the program says that my license is expired nut if i try to renew the free license I receive the "thank you for..etc etc" but  the program still says my license is expired.
Until now I see no trace of the automatic renewal.

I'm very disappointed.

Ok, don't worry you are still fully protected.

Could you please send me these log files so we can further investigate the issue?

all files are located in C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log

and include also the .old variants

I'm having a similar issue where I can't even DOWNLOAD the latest version. I've been stuck on program version 12 for so long. It seems like something with the servers is wrong, for me at least. I even tried updating it through Windows Control panel and that still didn't work. I also tried installing the latest version from a new download from the website, and still didn't work. What is going on?

I'm having a similar issue where I can't even DOWNLOAD the latest version. I've been stuck on program version 12 for so long. It seems like something with the servers is wrong, for me at least. I even tried updating it through Windows Control panel and that still didn't work. I also tried installing the latest version from a new download from the website, and still didn't work. What is going on?
Try OpenDNS or GoogleDNS.
