Indeed, it is the best Windows Firewall software out there (Binisoft is broken), it is extremely light, with no logging it has got a zero performance impact. Unfortunately the free version does not allow to block processes located within Windows folder (not such an issue) and it does not allow to create more advanced rules. The paid version is insanely expensive.

https://www.glasswire.com has a cool GUI and features, but free version does not block by default, users have to block it afterwards, so it is not really a firewall.

http://www.zonealarm.com/software/free-firewall - is great, it incorporates HIPS, which can detect even injected processes.

http://www.evorim.com/en/free-firewall - is simple, but it can work alongside of Windows Firewall.

It is broken by design, it is almost impossible to get it working, it has too many dependencies. It broke my internet and I could not even get it working after uninstalling it, almost had to reinstall Windows. I put it on my blacklist of untrustworthy software.

I have never had a problem with it. It has always worked as expected for me.

I don't understand why Avast! is on it, and why you'd be on the Avast! forums? Doesn't make much sense. But if you're having problems with that many (known, and well-tested) products, I don't think the problem is with the product. (Unless it's something to do with Pop ups or something...)

MBAM, Avast!/AVG (now merged) and Avira are all tried and tested. They all have good names. Tweaking doesn't have AV's, they have specialized tools designed for experienced users. Zemana? Haven't used it in a while. What problems did you have with that program?
