Avast AV Pro obsolete?
REDACTED:
I must ask the obvious question.
AV Pro is no longer listed for sale.
What happens when my subscription for AV Pro runs out.
Does it just stop working.
Will I get advanced notification?
I cannot find/see any policy statement anywhere.
Thank you

Thank you.
I have compared AV Pro with Internet Security and due to my 'set-up' there is only the ransomware module.
I have my own domain and most, if not all, of the email filtering is there.
I have a decent router that obviously is a natural firewall, add in SPI and IPv6 and Windows FW and I'm good to go.
Internet Security is getting on for 65% (£30 to £50) more and for the ransomware module, it's a non starter.
I have a few months left so I have plenty of time with, I think, a good product.

I believe Avast Pros biggest competitor is avast free - I have a stand alone firewall on my XP and win7 systems and use the windows firewall on this win10 laptop.
For my needs and browsing/security habits this combination is enough for me. That said a robust backup and security strategy (drive imaging software) is the final line of defence.

@DavidR
You could well be right.
However, I do not like adds and always buy.
Having Vista as my OS it now looks as if I will have to go to Panda or Webroot.
