Ransomware Shield
« on: December 22, 2017, 01:23:50 AM »
Protecting a folder with the Ransomware shield does not necessarily mean that all files in a folder are protected. I'm using strict mode. It seems that only file types listed under protected file types are protected. File types not listed under protected file types are easily renamed, deleted, modified, etc. In my opinion, users need to know this up front.

The ransomware shield popup does not show every time a file is modified.

How do I add additional file extensions that I want protected?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I don't understand why all known good file types are NOT on the protected file types list. I suppose I have to check each file to make sure it's on the list?
