Every time I go on line...avast finds drsmartload.exe
I have tried every search to find a removal tool but cant find one.  Does anyone know of one?.  I appreciate the fact that my avast home program finds it....and I put it in the chest.....but it comes up annoyingly too often.
thanks

What is your OS ?

Can you paste the contents or the alert (avast log viewer or a screenshot) like what the virus is and what the location is ?
If that location is on the internet, break the url or don't make it active, e.g. http : // www . suspectsite.com.

What action did you take when avast detected it ?

A google search for drsmartload.exe returns hundreds of hits, this is just one of them http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t34673.html.

If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode, Ewido Security Suite If using winXP. or a-Squared free if using win98/ME.
Also:
1. Ad-Aware
2. Spybot Search and Destroy
3. Spywareblaster Don't install this until you are clean.
