avast btcware removal tool issue
« on: December 24, 2017, 12:25:45 AM »
I am trying to use the btcware removal tool.

The file extension is BTC.  And there is a string of numbers in parentheses in the file name.

I select an encrypted file, and select the backup file. The file has not changed before the attack.

The NEXT button remains ghosted. I have tried many files. Same result.

I tried another tool and am informed that i need to choose a file that is a recognized encrypted file.

sorta indicates these are not BTCware files.

Ideas?
