Program entries
« on: July 15, 2018, 05:25:08 PM »
Hi,

I've noticed that in the location C:\\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\Cache\InstallLocation, Avast is storing some files from old and already uninstalled applications. And even though I am admin I have no permission to delete them. It would be nice if anyone could tell me if there is a way to delete those entries because they still exist in "add and remove programs" list and after a disk search their only trace is in Avast InstallLocation folder.

Not on my systems either and if they are in add-remove programs I would have to wonder why they would be related to Avast.

The only avast stand alone program that might be in add remove programs I would say is the Avast Secure Browser.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
