If you don't know who it's from and don't know what it's about and didn't expect it,
Play it safe... Don't open it just Trash it !

It could be that the language of the subject text is in simplified Chinese or another language not installed in your system so all you will see is a string of question marks.

In any case as Bob said delete unsolicited, unknown, unexpected emails, worst case scenario you lose an email.
