Assistance in cleaning Malware JS MINER
« on: January 12, 2018, 06:50:19 PM »
Hello all,

A few days ago I started noticing an increase in the temperature of my Laptop and a decrease in the gaming performance. I didn't think much of it since My laptop is already 4 years old but then, I received a notification on the Avast antivirus that I had som JS Miner Malware. I ran the antivirus but could not find anything.

I am attaching the logs of my computer to see if I can get some help with my laptop =)

Thank you very much in advance,

Sure it was not a detection on a website you visited?

Do you remember the full message or have a screenshot?

Seems clean to me. Can you make a screenshot of Avast detection?

Hello,

Next time the detection pop up I'll take a screen shoot. Not completely sure it was a website I visited, nevertheless, the reduced game performance and the increased temperature are the only lead I've got  =(.

I also realised that the temperature only increases dramatically whenever I open Chrome.

An Update on my laptop.

I noticed that whenever I have Chrome open and I'm connected to the internet, the computer starts some intensive work and it heats a lot. If I disconnect the internet, the temperature just returns to standard (50-55 C)

Also, for some reason, te Nvidia Card is not detected on the laptop anymore ( is it possible that it has been "kidnapped" by some malware?)

Please post new FRST logs. Nvidia card should be detected unless there is hardware fault.
