I have a WD 1 TB SSD, with a system partition of 400GB, half full (200GB). I created a USB rescue stick (16GB), and am running a boot time virus scan of the system partition from it, but it is bafflingly slow- after 24 hours, only 35% done. Why? (5 yr old Sony laptop, i3 processor- runs great under windows).
