System:
Vista 5384 x64/Avast Home 4.7.827

Is this supported? I have the dreaded "Red Dot" and have tried to manually start service. Receive error MSG;

"Error 1068:The dependency service or group failed to start"

What service or group is dependant and how to start?

You must use build 4.7.844 (the latest). 827 behaves exactly the way you're describing (well, only on Vista x64, of course... :))
