Cleanup Premium has destroyed Safezone Browser!
« on: January 24, 2018, 06:10:56 PM »
OK, so your ads describing how much was wrong with my PC drew me in.

I bought Avast Cleanup Premier to join Avast Premier and Avast Driver Updater, because of your good reputation and past success.

Having used cleanup, I now cannot load Safezone at all, being told "Your preference files cannot be read.   Some features may be unavailable and changes to settings won't be saved."

You don't say!  I am now entirely without the product I bought and with which I was content simply because I bought and used another of your products.  To say I am disappointed is a massive understatement, you have destroyed my faith in the company and I shall be seeking adequate compensation for your dire performance.

In the current of avast antivirus, the Safe Zone browser was removed pending a new version of avast browser.  I don't know if this is the reason for its disappearance rather than avast cleanup.

As I don't use the safe zone browser, not avast cleanup it isn't something that I can check.

Simple Answer - spend 45 mins with Rescue Centre backing out of Cleanup Premium.  All working fine now.

As we used to say of the Belgian national airline, SABENA, "Such A Bl**dy Experience, Never Again".

A very expensive lesson learned, Avast is apparently no longer to be trusted.
