Is the Emsisoft Emergency Kit safe and good?
« on: February 01, 2018, 04:45:46 PM »
Hello everyone.

I wanted a security product  to use as a on-demand scan (just like MBAM), and i have heard good things about the Emsisoft Emergency Kit.

I will probably download from this website: https://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/
(Looks like the official website)

So, is the program safe? And if it's safe, is it a good on-demand scanner?

Thank you.

There are also other options like online scanners, only a small client is downloaded to computer

TrendMicro HouseCall  https://www.trendmicro.com/en_us/forHome/products/housecall.html

ESET  https://www.eset.com/us/home/online-scanner/

F-Secure  https://www.f-secure.com/online-scanner

Panda  http://pandacloudcleaner.pandasecurity.com/

And probably more .....

Yep, I'm currently using the ESET one, but I will take a look on those that you listed.

Esmisoft is safe!! Take a look at Panda Cloud Cleaner for On-demand scanning, I have found it quite effective as compared to others..

yes it is very good.
I use the malware scan option. It is very quick and it is portable. If u dont want it anymore u only delete the folder.
