Avast is driving me nuts!

There is a free Avast in my smart phone. Suddenly yesterday it started to ask me to check out my phone from viruses at least three times a DAY! Previosly Avast has wanted to check out my phone from viruses once a WEEK. I haven't been using my phone apps more than usual. The apps I use most are Firefox, Instagram and WhatsApp. This is getting to make me annoyed!

Hi Erika, can you please try to clear the app data (go to "Android Settings→Applications→Avast Antivirus→Delete cache and user data") and uninstall & reinstall the app? I hope it helps.

I have followed information how to cancel Automatic Renewal but not quite sure it worked as
came up as ERROR, try again later, got same answer. Would like confirmation this was successful
as I have been trying for days and it is nearing my cancellation date
