38 iexplorers open when at CNET
« on: February 08, 2018, 05:41:56 AM »
Is this why my browser's so extremely slow?

I also find that 100% of the CPU's in use then.

Plus, no matter how careful I am typing, the text always ends up elsewhere than intended.

Might this be Google's Redirect Virus and if SpyHunter's reportedly the only thing that will clean the machine (when reportedly SpyHunter only cleans malware and in as I previously tried SpyHunter, canceled when their Support quit responding, plus it was nearly months and about a dozen or more e-mails between SpyHunter & their 'bank' before I saw the refund)), then surely yet another clean install is in store?

Or if not the 'undetectable by anyone' Redirect Virus', if simply malware, then which site offers malware removal guidance, as I'm sick to death of clean installing, only to find surfing nearly impossible again?

No rant intended, but honestly, I'm so careful about installing anything, it's ridiculous (and isn't working anyway).

Best regards and happ-e-trails to all,

uuguru

Step 1 done.  Me too.  Have to take a break. May wake in 4-6 hrs, check for replies and/or my e-mail  before continuing to step 2.

Hi everybody,

Here're the requested FRST files.

But foremost, excellent forum link instructions or Steps 1 & 2.  Kudos to the maker.

Nothing immediately found or quarantined, but if my memory still serves me correctly, isn't 'Panther' a bad thing, ref. seen in 'FRST...txt' log, under...

One Month Modified files and folders

..where it lists...

2018-01-19 03:53 - 2018-01-07 07:23 - 000000000 ____D C:\Windows\Panther

I'll try not to question or comment anything else, unless I'm wondering if I  correctly am understanding a direction or request.  Promise.

Best regards and as always, happ-e-trails to all,

uuguru

You have Intel Atom CPU and it is very slow. On other hand Internet Explorer is used which is very slow browser and it doesn't have any adblocking extension. Your system is malware clean but you should consider installing Chrome, Firefox, Opera or Vivaldy or any other which is not IE. You will also be able to use adblocking extension in them.

Awesome.  Mutli-tipple thanks.

Don't suppose this old once XP now W7P can get it's CPU upgraded, or would that mean even of possible a very pricey motherboard (if CPU's can't 'simply' be removed and a better one installed)?

Otherwise, now which browser to choose from, I stay away from Google anything, don't trust them or their politics, and at risk while I'm thinking of them, I feel Google employees being given free food 'all' day and night might be mostly what killed my Brother, even though it was likely half his own fault.

Apologies for that micro-rant, but well, you know.
