I've checked your issue with my AIS latest version and all works fine here. :)
You may look at performing a repair. Possibly will help.

I uninstalled and did a clean install using avast clear and AIS still crashes when I open my scan history. In event log it shows (Internal error has occurred in module aswar scan function failed!, function 000000A7) if that helps. I'm using Windows 10 64-bit.

I've reported this to Avast. Remember, we've started the weekend. :)

Today I noticed I had the same issue. I have a smart scan that i scheduled to run every week and a full scan every two weeks.
After today's smart scan I went to check scan history and no scans were shown and the all of a sudden it crashed.
Opened up avast premium again, went again to scan history and it crashed again.

Thank you Victor for confirming this. I thought I was the only one having this problem.

They must be working on it...LOL  I normally don't review scan history that much so had not observed the issue. The first attempt (few minutes ago) to review scan history caused the Avast image on the screen to disappear plus the icon (lower right task bar) as well. On the second attempt, the scan history appeared normally. Repeated again with the same results...didn't work the first time then performed normally on second attempt. FYI...
