OpenOffice.org v. 1.1.0
« on: December 31, 2003, 04:46:01 AM »
My MS Office 97 is aging and I have been dreading even contemplating an MS Office upgrade but Sun MicroSystems has the OpenOffice.org project, which I downloaded and installed.  What a great suite of application programs that can do everything as MS Office plus the ability to open MS Office files and save in the same MS Office format.  Nice set of software!  They have this program in just about any language imaginable.  I orginally downloaded this suite because it had the ability to export one of my PowerPoint presentations into SWF (Flash) format.

I know this is a old thread, but I thought I would tell it anyway. Just in case someone is interested.

A older version of StarOffice (5.2) is still freeware and can still be downloaded.THIS is one place to get it.
