Avast Business On-Premise Management Console Version 5.0

Hi,

Avast Business On-Premise Management Console 5.0 brings mostly fixes and some enhancements.

What's new in 5.0 release:


* Avast On-Premise Management Console will no longer support 32-bit Windows architecture. If you wish to upgrade to the latest version 5.0, you will need to install to a 64-bit Windows device. See release notes for more information.
* “Transfer From Other Console” tab has been added to General Settings. This tab is currently viewable, however, the process and steps will not work as work is still in progress to support the import file and license generation. This Transfer Feature will not work until further notice.
* Updated our error message text. User-friendly error message information to help understand what the issue you have encountered.
* When installing the On-Premise Management Console, pre-compatibility check are carried out. Operating System, Disk Space availability and Memory availability are part of the pre-installation checks.
* Admin Users can no longer remove the Network Profile under the Firewall Settings.
* Component installations on Windows Server devices are defined in the policy, so only the intended components are installed and applied after the install.
* Updated the way in which you can download and update your version of the Avast On-Premise Management Console with the “Version Link” on the left menu. You will now be able to update your console directly from this link and you will also be able to view our product roadmap information.
* An additional dialog prompt will appear during the installation of On-Premise Management Console informing you of the port numbers that are used by the console and if those port numbers are currently in use.
* Added a ‘Tooltip’ for “Exclusions” that outlines that each exclusion should end with * for it to be recognized and excluded.

On my 4.3.102 Avast BMC I get no offer of a 5.0-version; the Version number on the bottom left ist not clickable.

How do I force the update? Re-download the BMC-Setup and install it all over the old installation?

*Update* It works just that simple: Execute the new installer. It properly detects the old version and then replaces it successfully.
