Avast Cleanup not loading

Avast updated yesterday, and today when I tried to open Steam and other programs I'd used Cleanup to put to sleep, they wouldn't wake. When I open Cleanup all it does is show the loading screen. What happened?  :(

Well, since I haven't gotten an answer I'm going to try uninstalling it...

Great, now everything is broken and says it can't find the programs even though they're still there.  >:(

Okay, uninstalled, re-installed. Finally loaded. Made it wake up all the programs it was holding hostage and told it to ignore them. Problem solved.
