Virus Update Installation Error

On Sunday I downloaded a virus scan update, and it seemed to fail before it reached the end.  Now in the scans window, instead of the icons for the first two types of scans I see "scans.scanType.undefined" and I cannot run those scans.  Has anyone seen this, or corrected it?

Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
