Boot time changed with latest Avast (Free) update
« on: February 25, 2018, 03:05:15 PM »

Is anyone having a problem with "boot times" using the latest version of Avast Free.  I have a 64Bit windows7 PC with an Intel I5 and an SSD drive.  Prior to the latest update my boot time was about 26 seconds before my desktop appeared.  After installing the latest Avast update it's now taking almost 3 minutes before my desktop appears.  I removed AVAST from the system and my boot times reverted to the normal 26 seconds.  What's causing Avast to alter my boot times???

Sorry about the hubbub.  I uninstalled Avast using the removal tool in Safemode.  I downloaded and reloaded the free version and everything seemed to work correctly.  I hate those gremlins!!!!
