Hi Tech :
There is probably some trustworthy site to get
antispyware detection rates, but RejZor would probably
know . I giiggled a little when I saw your Oct 05 quote
from PC Mag advocating Spysweeper; nowadays a Senior
Editor of them is advocating Spycatcher on their Discussion
forums. Got me intrigued, so I installed their free "Express"
version; updated & ran their "through" scan and it
"reported" I had 4 major infections, which I knew was
false. Just to check, I ran a Windows "Search" which found
nothing.
I just go by the "opinion" of the webmaster on the aumha.
net forums ( free & pay-for-it antispyware programs have
about the same detection rates ) & spywarewarrior's
Eric Howes on which ones are the best .
As Bob commented. I do wonder if the recommendations
from the various PC-related magazines are "tainted" by
ad revenues !?
