Ehm, now back to the point... :-*

Sasha, the distorted version of the low-res skin is pretty but has one major caveat - it doesn't fit the Windows standard 16-color pallette anymore... That skin was explicitly created for configurations with very limited graphics capabilities, i.e. less then 256 color resolutions. And as such, the modified version would not work...

Anyway, once you get acquainted with the creation of avast skins, you can create this modified version, too. It's not going to be 'lo-res' anymore, but that's no problem I guess... (Culperer will like it as it is :))

I downloaded Skin Builder v4.3 and also I took a look at some of Avast! original skins. Lots of work in front of me, but I never was a quiter...

SORRY...SORRY... I MODIFIED THIS POST A DAY LATTER... FINALLY I MANAGED TO MAKE SOME PROGRESS IN "SKIN BUILDER v4.3"... YEAH !!! I'M SO HAPPY !!! THIS IS WONDERFUL ! I must find some good reason to avoid going to work few days, hihi  ;D  8)

I already finished preparing all bitmaps, buttons, backrounds and I succeded to force my skin to work well... I'll give another report latter...

Just one think Vlk... "display area" - where all information should be shown... is there any proportion, numbers, dimension (in pixels) that I must hold on to ?

FINALLY !!!

I finally did it !!!

Skin is completed and what's best, it's working...
No error so far, everything is like it should be.

Let me know, what's the best way to send you this skin (It's called SZCraftec_G5), please...
