Virus chest help
« on: March 07, 2018, 09:35:04 PM »
I wasn't sure where to go for this. Spent hours just trying to google some advice without getting any closer to figuring out how to fix my problem. Avast put a steam game I was playing in a virus chest for no apparent reason, and nothing I do seems to restore my game. I know the game doesn't have a virus, I fully trust where it came from as steam is not a company that just puts viruses into popular games. I looked at the faqs on how the virus chest works telling me if I right click on it there will be an option to restore it but nothing happens. I also tried clicking the little arrow next to delete since the faqs also suggested that if I clicked on that it would give me an option to send it in for a false positive by doing so but when I click on it nothing happens and no options present itself for me to do anything with the file other than delete it. I tried clicking add file but after spending a great deal of time trying to find it all it did was put a duplicate copy into the virus chest which didn't fix my problem as now I can't remove either.

I can't tell if I'm just being an idiot and there's some obvious way to get my game out of the virus chest but nothing seems to work and I'm getting frustrated. Makes me want to uninstall this virus software for not being user friendly enough to give me an easy way to restore my game file. I seriously can't believe there's no option to right click the file and then click restore like it said. Someone tell me what to do? Why won't it give me an option to restore my file in the virus chest?
