Hello

long time user first time complaint.
why on earth dose it keep asking me to install chrome. anybody with a brain cell knows that some spyware progs do NOT pick up what that browser can let in, i used it twice and i got a shed load more issues than Mozilla, why is it every time i get a update to the A-AV prog it seems to want me to get it, if its because they have connections then well that would explain alot but i don't want to be asked to change my browser every time the prog updates, its rude :/

can anybody explain why they do that?

p.s im never dropping Avast they have been awsome in protection to me and i use FREE, 10/10in my opinion, minus the asking to do chrome

Asking? I'd love it if Avast asked before installing Chrome! >:(
Got a notification to update, and no indication whatsoever that doing so would install unwanted software and change my default browser!
With how hard it is to even file a complaint about this nonsense, I'm about ready to switch to a different antivirus.
This is definitely not the way to make me want to upgrade to premium!

i agree wth Kefke, i  acepted a simple program update  an i ended up with chrome long with chromium which was hijacked, i like my mozilla and i kepp IE as a secondary just in case, but when my AV seems to want me to go to a browser that i personally dont like or appove of and foce installing itself even though i have said "NO" each time, i think there is more too it personally.

They did ask. It happened after the install of Avast at the time you were asked to reboot the system.
You probably missed it and you weren't alone.  :(

Most likely bud, but i do find it a bit forceful to install a browser to which i know has "holes" (my spelling is bad. i know common browsers correct but then ill never learn), as i said the avast prog update didnt give me a choice recently, when i wrote this post i had a chance to untick (like i have been for ages) and recent i had chrome and chronium, i know chronium has hijackers but AV didnt spot it unfortunately, im starting to lose faith in AV or A-AV which ever is best, i just wish Avast didnt keep asking me to install a Browser, if i wanted it ill get it, ill stick with what i know, (Im 25 but im OLD SCHOOL)

Regardless im not removing A-AV its done me well for many years
