It will be for versions 9-13 which are online. on the expiration screen when user selects Free it will be automatically registered

So will Version 7.0.1474 (free) be able to be re-registered?

Not according to the information just posted by MartinZ. You need a minimum of version 9.

ok got it, found the issue. We will fix it soon, that's a change on backend. Give us approx 2 weeks.

Can I get a little clarification here, please. I have ver. 2014.9.0.2021. I have 15 days remaining on my initial 30-day "Subscription" following a "re-install" with the "offline" installer.

I do not see, and cannot find, any "expiration screen".

Do I have to do something to make some "expiration screen" appear? And, if so, what do I do? Or, does that "expiration screen" automatically appear? And, if so, when, or under what circumstances, does that happen? Or does this "expiration screen", to which you refer, go by some other name? (I do see "You have not registered" at Settings > Registration.)

Hi :) My question is similar to Carlos V. 's. I have avast free 2014.9.0.2018 and it has just expired the first April. I have already posted a question about the renewal problem, and i have been invited to read this post for the answer.
Now i am without protection; i know that i must wait for a solution. How will i know that something has changed? Will it be necessary for me to do something or a specific screen will appeare? Thank you ^^

Hi, ok, in my case i must wait. But meanwhile i am uncovered. I' ve made the test with the avast page http://web-shield-test.avast.com/ but it's go wrong. And the antivirus don't accept the new virus definition. I click on upgrade, avast download it but not do anything and wright that the antivirus is expired. Now i'm totally confused.

This is my original post. Tank you. https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=217887.0
P.s. I'm a little bit hopeless ...  :-\

I do not want to wait in limbo for "10 days after expiration" for my version 2014 to re-register. Will I be able, the moment after expiration, to take some positive steps to immediately re-register? If so, what are the steps that I need to take? Or, do I have no other option but to wait 10 days?

I thought that offer only appears if you're uninstalling a paid version ??? Is that the case here ???

I don't believe this is the case here (not uninstalling a paid option), in another topic indicates that when uninstalling avast free there is an option/offer to reregister avast free.

Probably a good idea. :) Would still be nicer if this whole renewal option finally gets fixed to everyone's satisfaction. After all, this isn't politics and,
we should be able to get all sides to agree. :)
