Malware hunter? What is your opinion about Any.run
« on: March 23, 2018, 02:54:25 PM »
For the more technical ones, https://any.run seems to provide virtual environment for testing and hunting malwares.
Does anybody tested it? Do you think it worth?

Agreed here. I have designated VM's with varying degrees of security. From drag n' drop bi-directional to designated VM's with everything disabled with no Network connection. I also have a designated Physical Machine (That's really old) if something is *really* that bad.

In my opinion: If you're incapable of setting up a VM you really should not be doing any form of testing.

There are also online tests similar to virustotal but give more details, where you just upload the file ... safer for those who dont know

Virustotal also have lots of extra info behind the tabs if you click after a scan ... most dont
