Cannot uninstall avast secure browser

A couple of days ago I noticed the avast secure browser pinned in my taskbar in a win 7 pc.
Unpinned it and in the next reboot there it was again!
I tried uninstalling it from the control panel, thought I got rid of it, but this morning it came back!
I did not authorise the installation in the first place, but the most annoying part is that it pinned itself in the taskbar and it made itself the default browser. Another interesting part of the story is that the uninstall tool from this page https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/30 is simple not available for download! Any ideas how to get rid of this annoying program without uninstalling the whole antivirus suite?
