First deception with www.sysinternals.com

First deception with www.sysinternals.com
I've looking for a Recycle bin tool for an encrypted volume with TrueCrypt.
In a Truecrypt volume, there is no recycle bin.

Well, I've found Fundelete (http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/fundelete.html).
Man, what a nightmare:
1. Program does not uninstall... Trying to install again, errors, no uninstall...
Safe mode boot. Uninstall fails too.
2. Program creates a 'second' protected Recycle bin in each partition.
   You can't delete it!
Using Unlocker and the folder is restored and restored...
3. I've suspect of an infection... computer start to be slow...
Scanning with avast (terribly slow...) and ewido (slower than usual too).
Tons of thousands of files into avast temporary folders!!!
4. Cleanning the recicly bin takes minutes!!!
Deleting nothing and the recycle bin is full again!!!
5. Only manually deleting each folder, file and, specially,
registry key related to Fundelete (specially Legacy drivers) I could manage this s*it.

Well, not all software from sysinternals could be good... I found this the worst way possible.
I know it is 'designed' for Windows NT but it's not clear it won't work on XP  :P
Anyway, a good uninstaller or 'block' the install while not in the proper operational system is the least I could expect from them (good programmers indeed).

Hi tech...

Yeah, that's it. It's too bad though, you would have thought they would have released a version for XP or at least issued a patch or a warning "Not intended for use on Windows XP."  :P

I'm sorry you went through all that :(

They should just make it more clear i guess...
Some even tag Windows XP as Windows NT (well it actually is NT, but WinNT5, not WinNT4).

Well, I do that too... "Windows NT" is Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003; "Windows 95" means Windows 95, 98, ME. Insignificant differences ;D

I do it a bit different though. WinNT is entire NT line (though i still prefer WinNT,Win2k and WinXP) and Win9x means everything from Win95 up to WinMe.

OK, right. I actually meant that when I'm talking about it; when writing, yes, WinNT and Win9x is better.
