AvastSvc application downloading and sending 4G (so far) for no reason

Hi

I am using Avast Internet Security 18.8.2356.

The AvastSvc application has started (as of last Friday) downloading and sending gigabytes (just now 4 GB) of data for no reason.

It is using 125 threads.

It is happening on my notebook and desktop.

I have tried reinstalling with no effect.

Both are running on Windows 10 (see details for the notebook below).

Worked it out (I think).

Was not Avast - apologies to Avast.

Was the IMAP email sync.

Constantly sending and receiving.

Maybe I have reached some limit for the IMAP sync.
