Avast freezes utorrent

Hey guys,

I came over from Bitdefender free and decided to see how Avast is. I've heard a lot of reviews and it was great! However, it freezes utorrent whenever it's open.

And the only way to resume utorrent is to restart. And if you wait for too long, it freezes again.
I've uninstalled Avast and it's working normally again but I'm not too sure why Avast is causing issues to it.

Any ideas?

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)..!!

Then:
1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
