I know. :)  My post wasn't directed at you either. I just wanted to add my problem to the animate issue for those who may not have read the posts above. Perhaps that was unnecessary. And english is not my first language so maybe it did not came out the way I meant.

I can not install the update. Throught settings-update-update programm, the option to update is deactivated. When i download and run the installer, it starts and crashes after a while.

Silent update?

I have Avast 18.3.2333 build 18.3.3860.315


Icon still doesn't animate.

What are these silent updates?

Generally they are Updates that can be done outside of the full program update function - this can occur either during the Virus Definitions (and engines) update or from the Emergency Update check function.

new verison of avast is triggering unsecapp.exe to run , this happen few years back too

This is on Windows 10 1703 build

meh just fiqure out why the cleaner that is "optional" install, that DID not have installed and have not had install cause I never used it and it start up that unsecap.exe  which was INSTALLED with the update when IT wasnt installed to begin with.

This is the first update I had in years that installed a component I didnt have installed with an update.

The GUI is faster but it long cry from how it should be cause   is should be pretty much instant all pc inducing ones with SSD

Will you ever stop spamming users with 80% off notification? We all see it in console and popups, does it really have to be with detection notifications? This is really crappy design choice.

When restart the PC dont load program, this will be displayed in a window : "UI Failed to Load. This is really embarrassing. AV Service is not responding."

EXTI - Restart service

I also get "UI Failed to Load" on my fresh Avast instal on the newest Windows build after the restart. They should fix that.

Avast Internet Security failed to install the following updates for Office 2016 now released:KB4018372, KB4022133.
Avast protection was turned off without any problems installing the update.
This is a program bug?

Try another reboot it should load, worst case do another reboot, mine loaded  fine on second reboot.
