Avast Free Antivirus core shields
« on: April 08, 2018, 09:17:24 PM »
I have program version 18.3.2333 installed as of today.  I right click on the Avast icon in my system tray & under Avast control shields, I see that one is disabled.  I click on it & nothing seems to happen.  I know that there on 4- core shields enabled now, but it shows there is one that is disabled.  I use a personal computer with Windows 7 installed.  Is there a problem or what could I try to correct it?

Thank you

Interesting question, I'm not sure the explanation for this.
Also, when you choose 'disable for 10 min' or whatever, then it shows (5) Shields Disabled. ???

I'm experiencing the same behaviour after updating to program version 18.3.2333. Also is Avast using up to 30+% CPU time while I have not "instructed" Avast to perform any actions.
I have already tried to repair my installation but that didn't help.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro including Avast Premier including an active subscription.
Any ideas?
