Enable Web Shield in ver 4.7?
« on: June 23, 2006, 02:57:47 AM »
I'm sure that this is a stupid question and I'm just missing something, but I just downloaded the lastest version 4.7 to find a new user interface from that to which I am accustomed.  I cannot find ANYWHERE where I can enable/edit URL blocking for the Web Shield function.  In the previous version of Avast! that I am more accustomed to it was a relatively simple matter... any help would be appreciated.

TIA!
Scott

Welcome to the forums Scott.

Editing URL blocking in 4.7 is much the same as in the past:

Right click the a-icon
Click On-Access Protection Control
Click Web Shield
Click Customize
Click URL Blocking tab

If you installed 4.7 as an update rather than a clean install, any blocking you previously set up should still be present.

Click On-Access Protection Control
Click Web Shield
Between these steps, maybe, you should click on the buttom 'Details'  8)
