Outdated Software - Update Failure

Virus definitions version:   180409-2

Failure to Update Software:
Flash Player ActiveX
Flash Player Plugin

Noted failure to update these 2 software programs.

Re-set database - no effect.

Shutdown and re-start - no effect.

Recall a similar behavior at some point in past versions but do not recall when this was logged - if at all.

Do not see any other reports of this problem by users.

No Windows Updates had or have been performed.

However to update thread:

Repeated attempts failed to update to:
Version 29.0.0.113

Today successfully updated via Avast Software Updater:
Adobe Flash Player ActiveX plugin to Version 29.0.0.140
Adobe Flash Player Plugin update to Version 29.0.0.140.

Hence, multiple attempts failed with the earlier version.

No problems today for same system with a different/later update to these Adobe Products.

Takeaway.........issue was not likely due to anything on this end but rather a problem with the Avast updater - at least for this system.

This behavior is consistent with past observations.
