@Hitch,
What are you quoting ???
The malwaretips link from reply 6
The link was sufficient IMHO He should also have read the following:
https://www.avast.com/en-us/eula
Avast doesn't share personal information so have no clue what Hitch is trying to infer ???

No inferring just proof that Avast is tracking its users on the most extreme level. I posted facts and proof that Avast is connecting to ALL the above sites and tracking its users. It's spyware. If you can't understand the clear evidence I presented I don't know what else to tell you. There are multiple security professionals including myself that have carried out some research and the link to MalwareTips is just some of it. The evidence I provided above clearly shows Avast is tracking its users. It's basically spyware and this isn't just me 'Thinking it' or 'Getting confused' I provided clear evidence. And, as I stated MalwareTips, Wilders Security forums and a couple of other very well established forums are full of both professional's proving Avast is tracking its users at a level way past regular spyware and general tech-savvy users dropping Avast like hotcakes and people are also not recommending it to friends and family anymore. Give it 4 weeks and Avasts Active users will see a significant drop and said drop in active users will just continue. I'm having trouble figuring out what you're having trouble trying to understand what "I'm trying to say" When I've provided you cold hard facts.

Avast should NOT be tracking users at that level. This is serious and very possibly a grey area within the law. Anyway I've said what I came to say, provided facts and proof that Avast is tracking it's users and connecting out to a lot of sites from end users machines. This is absolutely disgusting.

I've passed this onto Avast and expect them to rebut your, in my opinion, bogus accusations.

Nothing bogus there the facts are there for everyone to see. I've contacted Avast regarding these serious issues myself too. There is no rebuttal unless you have trouble reading clean, plain data that I've provided showing anyone who can read and understand that Avast are tracking users heavily. The evidence is there.

With 107 million global users who click on 150 billion links per month, Jumpshot has the statistical accuracy to report what is actually happening, as opposed to what a limited panel merely suggests is happening. Jumpshot also captures https clickstream data to reveal in-depth buying and social behavior above and beyond simple browsing. Now marketers can quantify logins, signups, transactions and more for any property on the web. Furthermore, persistent user IDs allow Jumpshot to track user behavior over a very long period of time, providing insight into surfing patterns multiple steps before and after visitors leave a particular website, identifying trends other analytics tools simply cannot match.

avast is located in EU, so it would be suicidal to even try collect and keep any information which can ID users

ever heard of GDPR ? EC ?

those 2 abbrevs cause nightmares to any size corporation in European Union
imagine the size of fine alone, it would be astronomical

so whatever Avast! may collect is some telemetry which is stripped of any personal ID stuff

why all of sudden come with something what was known 3 years ago in 2015 (jumpshot)

so, because the so called 'evidence' is lacking and feels more like 'hearsay' (of something sent somewhere)

is there yet any report with quality level analysis with factual info ?
