Error 1530
Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

2 user registry handles leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-2990564552-2265331559-3762847119-1000:
Process 1568 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\AvastSvc.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2990564552-2265331559-3762847119-1000
Process 1924 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NvContainer\nvcontainer.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-2990564552-2265331559-3762847119-1000\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\ShadowPlay

Michael (alan1998):
ShadowPlay is a game recorder made by NVIDIA. NVIDIA is a hardware manufacturer (specializes in Graphics Cards).

Cause:

--- Quote ---This event can be caused by apps that do not release their Registry keys before shutting down. This most often occurs when an app runs in the background and does not release its Registry keys when a user signs off, in which case Windows forces the Registry to unload. There is no impact to users, though in rare cases recent configuration changes in the app might not be saved.

--- End quote ---

Resolution:

--- Quote ---No user action is required - this is an acceptable condition. In Windows 8.1 we changed this to an Information message to help reduce confusion and alarm. This event was a Warning event in prior versions of Windows.

umm I don't think safebrowser has anything to do with it...the update helper seems to be trying to install an account that already exists...repeatedly. for a very long time, looks like. ??!?!?!?!

what this seems to have done on my desktop is that the registry became corrupted!!! and I was unable to logon as me.....

ouch. aka OMG!

FORTUNATELY I had a spare logon and was able to
   backup the registry,
rename the S-1-5####.######<null> and .bak files appropriately,
reset RefCount and State to 0 (zero),
 reboot and VIOLA! log on.

moral: have more than one Admin logon, print off the how-to for fixing User Profile problems easily.

note: be CAREFULE when using REGEDIT. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do a BACKUP beforehand.

creating a Restore Point afterwords is not a bad idea.....
