Why is Avast blocking HTTP/2 protocol on HTTPS websites?
« on: April 24, 2018, 06:51:53 AM »

HTTP/2 is the spiritual successor to HTTP/1 and provides much needed changes in security, speed, and usability. We just updated my server with HTTP/2 and we noticed right away that AVAST Web Shield was blocking HTTP/2 and forcing HTTP/1.

Any ideas why?

Thank you

Hi, Avast Web Shield does support HTTP/2. Would you mind sharing the website URL (maybe privately into IM) and a version of Avast that you see problems with? Thanks. Lukas.

I ran some tests and it seems to work fine now, I was testing the HTTP/2 protocol with a browser add-on that was misconfigured. Sorry about that...
