Hi, I was charged for $69.99 CAD for a yearly subscription of Avast a few days ago even though I uninstalled it about a year ago after it corrupted my PC by deleting my registries thinking they were viruses and haven't used it since.
At first, I detected it through Paypal and thought my account was compromised until I realized my Avast yearly subscription that I purchased back in 2017 was set on auto-renewal and I did not catch the messages prompting me of an auto-renewal reminder because I use two emails and the one I have signed up for Avast is full of Paypal notices and junk email which I could not catch until the day I was charged by Digital River Inc. through the Paypal website.
Since I haven't used Avast since then, I submitted a few support tickets while I was panicking about figuring out how to cancel my auto-renew subscription since the website was having errors on Firefox, until I used Edge to fix it manually and cancel it, and a current ticket to request a refund. I do understand support tickets are issued by First in First out basis, so I am worried that I have delayed the response time of my support ticket, that is why I am making a post here.
