Automatic Renewal
« on: April 10, 2018, 01:39:32 PM »
I've followed the instructions for disabling automatic renewal of my Avast Internet Security.  However, when I get to the 'Manage Subscriptions' page the option to turn off the automatic renewal is not working.  In the information below this message you'll see that 'Renew Now' is only offered.  It appears that some clever person has disabled the option to turn on/off the renewal option.  Sending emails hither and thither gets no response either.  Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve this issue?

I've spent literally hours trying to resolve this issue by following the official instructions on how to disable Automatic Renewal.  'Renew now' will work (of course!) but there's no option to  disable automatic renewal on the Manage Subscriptions page.  I've just contacted the financial institution which I've used for paying Avast and they've stopped all debits by Avast from my account.  It's a pity because I like the Avast product, but if they won't allow me to stop automatic renewal by deliberately making the process unworkable then I have no choice.

I too spent quite a few hours trying to find the way to turn off auto renewals, to no avail. This tell me a lot about the company, its more a scam than a real product.  Moving forward I will not be doing any business with them. No one from the company responds to emails and the BBB in the US can't help.  This is just another POS software company.
