Automatic switching to bank mode
« on: May 01, 2018, 05:40:00 PM »
My default browser is not ASB.
How can I automatically go to Bank Mode?
I remember that in Avast SafeZone the "Go and Remember for this Site" option was available.

Another thing: If we go to the BM and click on the "Don't show on this site again" box, the solution to ask again is to remove the "Avast Online Security" extension and reinstall it?

Open the Security and Privacy Center
Click on Bank Mode
Click on Advanced Settings.
You should now be able to add the sites you want to automatically open in Bank Mode

I know that.

My problem is that my default browser is not Avast Secure Browser.

With Avast Safezone we could use another browser and, when going to bank websites, the bank mode would open automatically.

Now, with ASB this does not happen.

I'm having the same problem. I have done this but I can't open Bank Mode on it's own either.  The clickable link in the security centre won't let me click it though it's not greyed out and is green writing. I was able to add my bank log in url but it still won't open in bank mode.

I have the latest windows update 1803? and did have trouble getting Avast security re-installed as well but that suddenly fixed itself somehow, so now just trying to get this bank mode to work properly.

I'm using the Avast free version just now. Have Avast decided to make bank mode only available to premium customers now?

Previous ASZB was based on Opera but the new one is not.  It is Chromium-based but is otherwise new in most respects.

Could be Avast has made Bank Mode availability proprietary to Avast Secure Browser only.

Not aware of a prior setting allowing automatic bank mode in other browsers but that is because I didn't look for it nor did I have a requirement for it.  In any case, I was ok with using only ASZB browser for Bank Mode.

You need Avast Free at minimum and ASB browser for this to work.

I can open Bank Mode; setting ASB to default is not required here.  Right-click avast icon in system tray and selecting 'Bank Mode' works here.
