Whenever a new version of Avast is available, even if Program setting is "manual update", a blue dot appears over the Avast icon on the system tray.
The problem with this is that when there is a problem (ie Behavior Shield not started at startup) the same blue dot appears. The only way to know the difference is to open the UI.
If the Program setting is set to "manual update", or if a new option is created, it should never tell the user an update is available. There is an option already to tell when an update is available, so "manual update" should be to not have any notification or blue dot appear. This is an ideal solution for people who have others take care of their computer's maintenance and only want to know when a problem occurs.
